Petra Cardoza
Teen & Young Adult Therapist, LMHC
Patient, direct and never in a hurry.
Petra Cardoza sees teens and young adults who are autistic or have ADHD.
She works with them on school, friendships, routines and plans for what comes next. A parent or guardian takes part in the first conversation, and Petra explains how privacy and consent work under Washington rules before the first session.
Outside work she plays in a community orchestra and bakes bread on Sundays.

How I work
I let the teen set the pace and the topic. Sessions can be sitting, walking the room, drawing or typing in the chat, whatever makes it easier to talk. I keep parents informed in ways we agree on together at the start.
Beyond the practice
On weekends Petra plays viola in a community orchestra and bakes bread that rarely lasts the day.
